Autodesk Inventor has many new features released from time to time, some are being used extensively and some are rarely used and neglected.

Here I would like to showcase an important feature which would be of great help for new learners and those who want to get live update of their favorite blogs without actually visiting the blog or leaving/closing Autodesk Inventor 201o.

I will explain with an example taking my blog – http://CADProfessor.in

  • Step 01

Open Autodesk Inventor 2010 and move the cursor to the InfoCenter (located at Top Right Corner)

info-center

  • Step 02

Click on Communication Center Icon as shown below

communicationcenter

As you click on the Info Center Settings see below, you will be taken to InfoCenter Settings window.

settings

Now click on Feeds and click on ADD and enter a feed of your choice, here I entered CAD Professor

infosettings

CAD Professor, now gets updated into the RSS feed, now enjoy working with Inventor 2010 without worrying about missing another favourite post from CAD Professor, make sure you must be connected to internet to get live feed.

Just in case you miss from the image – CAD Professor Live Feed – http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cadprof

Some of the Blogs /News info available by default are

  • The Gear Box
  • In the Machine
  • Mod the Machine
  • Engineering Education for Mechanically Inclined
  • Hope one day, CAD Professor would feature in the place . . .

Wait what’s more after this, just click the Communication center and open the Feeds >> you get to see 5 post related to each blog you have updated . . . see below

Enjoyed the article . . .

Cheers,
