Many times, we tend to modify part features frequently before we get the final desired shape. To be more productive, always make use of the History Tree from the Browser Bar to modify the parts, by right clicking on the feature and selecting Edit Feature . . .
Edit Features
In case you have the Inventor Fusion (Edit Based Solids) options enabled. This can be found at Tools > Applications Options > Part > Edit Base Solids. Then you can directly select the feature and select the edit feature option
