Autodesk University Virtual 2010 A Review

Autodesk University team started the AU Virtual last year {2009} and this year it has been reformed even better. I just had a chance to login to the AUv 2010 conference center and its amazing and I bet its worth seeing once, before you actually watch the AUv Live from Las Vegas between Nov 30 to Dec 2 2010

I have been visiting AU since 2007 and the experience one gets is a life time remembrance (for first time visitors – like me)

Autodesk University is a one stop conference to learn from industry experts not from a region or from a country but experts from across the world., so if you have a question that has been delaying your productivity or a series of problems that have hampered your productivity for a year, its time for you to visit AU at Las Vegas., I’m sure you will never walk out of AU Conference with your question being answered, at least I’ve got all my answers at AU. So trust me, its worth investing your time and money to AU Conference.

This year, we have Donnie GladFelter as the key host for AU virtual 2010., good a first step in bringing people to virtual conference center . . .

Intro Video:

The Intro video contains talk by Donnie, all about AUv 2010.

Keynotes:

This contains all the keynote presentation given by experts within Autodesk and outside.  This years talks from CARL BASS and other keynote presenters from each vertical products will be shown here. At present we have the bloggers reception 2009, AU You tube winner and video on why attend AU ?

Product Clinics:

Here you find classes of various products of autodesk, check the zone for yourself . . .

AU Virtual Concierge

According to Wiki –  In 19th century and early 20th century apartment buildings, particularly in Paris, the concierge often had a small apartment on the ground floor and was able to monitor all comings and goings. However, such settings are now extremely rare; most concierges in small or middle-sized buildings have been replaced by the part-time services of door-staff. These are less costly and less intrusive. Some larger apartment buildings or groups of buildings retain the use of a concierge. The concierge may, for instance, keep the mail of absented dwellers; be entrusted with the apartment keys to deal with emergencies when residents are absent, provide information to residents and guests, provide access control, enforce rules, and act as a go-between for residents and management, when management is not on-site.

Here you find interesting things like twitter lounge, Youtube lounge and many more to come at shortly, I would be happy to see facebook lounge which can invite hundreds and thousands of users to this lounge At the moment of writing I can see tweets about AUv at the twitter lounge.

Virtual Badge

This location helps you to swipe your virtual badge and I’m not too sure what this will do, but need to wait and watch more during AUv

The virtual class helps you to choose from the existing different domains like AutoCAD, CAD FM, Architecture, BIM, MSD, etc.,
