With recent MOU between Autodesk India and AICTE India, its time for every Engineering colleges to make use of the AICTE Autodesk Grant in which free Autodesk softwares can be requested, which in turn can be downloaded and installed by colleges and taught in the curriculum. A total of 25 different softwares can be requested by a college based on which area they deal with ( Mechanical, Architecture, Electrical, Computer Science, Civil) this move enables quality education in CAD Laboratory and theory classes. Autodesk remained one of the pioneers in AutoCAD and now they are into AEC, Media & Entertainment followed by Manufacturing. Softwares like Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD, Algor can be downloaded and taught in the labs.

This move not only enhances CAD Education to the next level in the country but also strengthen’s the overall Engineering Design knowledge of a student using Computer based application tools from Autodesk.

AICTE Autodesk MOU brings 25 softwares free to colleges in INDIA

The Procedure involves filling up an application from the Autodesk Portal made available at the AICTE website ” Click Here ” filling up the application takes 10 – 15 minutes and once when Autodesk approves the application, a download link and licenses are generated, which in turn the colleges can download and install in their labs.

Autodesk Labs Update:

The Autodesk Inventor Fusion Technology Preview allows direct modeling for rapid design changes along with traditional parametric workflows within a single digital model created in Autodesk Inventor. Senior Software Engineer, Bryan Turner, provided me with an updated build that I posted to the Autodesk Labs site.

Download Inventor Fusion technology preview via Autodesk Labs

The update is available as a traditional install as well as a streaming install. In the case of the streaming install, you download a small application that streams the Inventor Fusion application to you in a manner similar to how movies are streamed to you when you watch them. By streaming the application, you can start using it right away – before the entire application is downloaded. It’s a form of instant fusion gratification.

This update to technology preview 4 features updates plus languages packs for:

	Brazilian Portuguese
