Getting Certified:

To get Certified, you must pass all the associated exams specified for that tool. Select the tool that is essential for your and ensure growth in your company, Take an assessment test to assess your knowledge of the product. Ready to take the Exam ?

When you are ready to take the exam, you should not take any calculator books or any electronic materials, however, you may use rough paper to carry out calculations and during the end of the test, you must hand over all the rough papers used during the test. The proctor will help you answer any question related to the exam process, but no support will be given in solving your questions during the test.

Note: You can pause the test at any time and resume later, this will avoid your loss of time.

Exam Objective:

Any exam that you take has an objective, similarly the Autodesk Inventor or any other exams associated with Autodesk has objectives, you can see the Autodesk Inventor Objective

Types of Certification:

Autodesk Inventor, as an example has two certification stages,

1) Autodesk Inventor Certified Associate Exam

Certified Associate exam is an on-line examination consisting of 30 questions that assess your knowledge of the tools, features, and common tasks in the specific Autodesk application. Question types include multiple choice, matching, and point and click (hotspot). The exam has a one hour time limit (in some countries the time limit may be extended). At the conclusion of the exam, you will receive a comprehensive score report which includes summary information on the questions you missed and where you can find information on that area in the corresponding Autodesk Official Training Courseware (AOTC).

2) Autodesk Inventor Certified Professional Exam

Professional Certification exams are performance based tests. Performance based testing is defined as testing by doing. That means that rather than answer questions about how you might accomplish a task, you actually perform the task. The exam is comprised of 20 questions. The exam requires you to use the application to perform a task, and then answer a question about the task. The questions will ask you to input a numeric or text answer. More information on these types of questions, along with sample questions, can be found in this guide.. To earn the credential of Autodesk Certified Professional, you must also pass the Autodesk Certified Associate exam.
You can pass the exams in any order.

Recommended Experience Level ?

Autodesk Inventor Certified Associate exam requires around 100 hours of hands of Experience

Autodesk Inventor Certified Professional exam requires around 400 hours of hands of Experience
Re-certification from Autodesk 200X Certified User ? (say 2010)

All you have to do in case you are an Autodesk Inventor 2010 Certified User, is to pass the Autodesk Inventor 2011 Certified Associate and you will be an Autodesk Inventor 2011 Certified Professional.

Associate Level Exam Question Types:

• One best answer multiple choice – the traditional, most familiar test question type which requires you select the

single best answer.

• Select all that apply – these questions consist of a question followed by multiple responses in which you select

all options that apply.

• Point and click – these questions consist of a question followed by a graphic. The correct answer is selected by

clicking on the correct area of the graphic.

• Matching format – these questions consist of a list of questions in the left column that are matched to the correct

question in the column on the right. To match questions you click a question in the list on the left and drag the question to the corresponding list on the right column.
